Position Summary The working shop mechanic is responsible for performing duties related to routine maintenance and repair of heavy‐duy trucks, construction and asphalt equipment while operating machinery in a safe and responsible manner. This position is responsible for supporting fellow shop employees and is the right fit for an individual that is willing to learn and develop skillsets. The successful applicant will be compensated based on experience and ability to successfully support and participate in the operations. Essential Functions Adheres to all safety rules and works safely on all jobs. Must have a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to trouble shoot and repair equipment. Ability to MIG/Stick weld and fabricate is preferred, but not necessary. Schedule and track work and repairs as well as winter maintenance. Create work orders for all equipment repairs.
