Optica is Avery Dennison’s comprehensive portfolio of end-to-end supply chain solutions. It is designed to give businesses total, item-level visibility over their products from the point of manufacture (source) to the retail shelf (store). Optica achieves this by combining RFID intelligent labels, the connected product cloud, specialized hardware, and software applications to turn physical products into digital assets.

On-Demand Labeling (also referred to as Avery Dennison's In-Plant Printing Solution) is a specific capability built into the Optica ecosystem, though it can also be used standalone. It balances centralized data management with decentralized, on-site printing.
