Teach a range of subjects including Navigation, Cargo Operations, Bridge Management and other related topics relating to STCW II/I requirements and as asked by the Head to the students using a suitable style while satisfying the requirements of the Academy.
Use appropriate innovative and effective pedagogic approach in the classroom.
Deliver lectures and lead seminar groups as appropriate.
Participate in the examination assessment process including setting of papers, preparing marking schemes, agreeing marks with other staff.
Use appropriate and innovative forms of assessment practices to enhance learning and teaching.
Responsible for updating own discipline knowledge to develop research informed teaching.
Ensure full compliance with the requirements of the timetable and the annual academic calendar.
