A Marine Superintendent acts as the vital link between shore‑based management and ships, responsible for maintaining fleet safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role will be a co‑ordinator role between the DCC management team and the third‑party barge operator to ensure compliance with all authority and safety requirements and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordination with the barge contractor on all HSE and regulation compliance.
- Safety: Execute inductions and toolbox walk with the marine team for the barges etc.
- Technical Support: Conduct vessel inspections, audits, and damage surveys, and solve engineering challenges.
- Liaison & Reporting: Act as the primary DCC contact between ship masters, crew, technical managers, and classification societies.
