This position is located at our Smithfield, RI clinical site.  Monday - Friday 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM Under the general supervision of the Manager, Radiologic Technologist and according to established policies and procedures, performs the functions of a Mammography Technologist. The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete patient education regarding the exam and promote comfort for the patient

Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered

Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.

Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluate

Perform quality control functions related to mammography

Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
