Mammography Technician

Performs mammographic procedure on In/Outpatients according to published department protocols. Reviews each prescription, history questionnaire, and patient record prior to the examination to ensure all pertinent information is available for radiologist interpretation. Performs radiologic examination with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and technical factors. Practices universal precautions, and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination. Processes images using the Client system. Completed and verifies cases in a timely manner. Ensures work lists are cleaned up daily. Monitors and resolves Exceptions List daily. Proper utilization of the Breast reporting system(PenRad), EMR and PACS systems. Proper loading of external imaging and creation of necessary orders and scanning of reports into PACS system for radiologist review.
