Summary The position serves as a Maintenance Mechanic Work Leader in an extremely complex medical facility. The incumbent must have a thorough working knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of pumps and valves, including starting, stopping, monitoring, repair, maintenance and testing. They must have knowledge and skill to perform water chemistry analysis and the knowledge and ability to perform operational repairs, preventative and operational maintenance on equipment. Responsibilities The Maintenance Mechanic must be an experienced journeyman level Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Carpenter, and/or pipefitter with construction and/or maintenance background. Works closely with all new installations, in house projects, inspection and review of project blueprints, inspection of all contractor submittals, inspection of all contracted project work sites, and review of new equipment and materials submitted by vendors.
