ASAP Start | Full‑time | On‑site Job Summary The Locum SHO (CT1) in Haematology will support the delivery of safe, effective inpatient and outpatient haematology care within the Trust.
Key Responsibilities - Inpatient care
- Review and manage patients on the haematology ward, including daily assessments, documentation, and treatment reviews.
- Assist in clinics under consultant supervision (e.g., anaemia, lymphoma, anticoagulation, transfusion follow‑up). Acute referrals.
- Participate in the assessment of acute haematology referrals from ED, AMU, and other specialties.
Ward rounds
- Join consultant‑led and registrar‑led rounds, ensuring timely completion of tasks and investigations.
Procedures
- Perform venepuncture, cannulation, blood transfusion prescribing, and bone marrow biopsy assistance (training provided).
