Position: Locum Medical Officer (6 months’ contract)
Major Duties And Responsibilities - Performs patient care including admission, transfer, discharge, clinic consultation, as directed by supervisor.
- Clerks all new cases (i.e. taking the history, examining the patient and making a diagnosis/provisional diagnosis) in the general adult psychiatry wards and on admission of the patient into the ward.
- Examines and initiates urgent treatment of violent and disturbed patients and physically ill patients.
- Does night duties and outside office hours rounds when rostered on calls. This may include seeing cases in the general adult psychiatry wards or attending to calls from the wards.
