About the Clients

Client 1:

  • PEG‑fed, with district nurses currently managing morning and evening feeds.
  • Care Professional will assist with flushing the PEG twice daily (training provided).
  • Registered blind.
  • May need occasional night-time assistance to reach the bathroom safely.
  • Becoming increasingly mobile following a stroke.
  • Manages most personal care independently.

    • Client 2:

  • Living with advanced dementia.
  • A wanderer who enjoys being physically active, regularly going out on the bus or walking.
  • Requires covert medication administration.
  • Can be disinhibited and direct in communication, so the Care Professional must be emotionally robust, composed, and confident with boundary-setting.
  • Often does not recognise her need for support and may present as resistant or verbally sharp.
