The LPN Clinic provides appropriate medical care and counseling to the patient. Assists the medical provider in the delivery of care under stable and predictable conditions within the framework of a patient care assignment.
Clinical Skills

• Participates in patient care under supervision and in collaboration with members of the healthcare team
• Measures and records vital signs according to departmental policy and patient age
• Identifies abnormal vital signs based on age and developmental level and reports findings to the appropriate medical provider
• Supports clinic flow, including:
  
  • Assisting with patient arrival to the clinic
  • Assisting in and performing patient procedures
  • Scheduling new and follow-up appointments
  • Facilitating a smooth patient exit from the clinic
• Prepares patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
