Licensed Practical Nurse, FT

The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.

Duties:

• Performs skilled practical nursing procedures or treatments (e.g. administers oxygen; conducts blood glucose testing; applies sterile dressing, inserts catheters; gives enemas & douches; collects specimens), assists physicians (e.g. with client & new employee physical exams, treatments &/or lab tests) & assists in emergencies (e.g. first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, restraining clients), conducts neurological & circulation assessments (e.g. aspirin, anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, decongestive, antihistamines, thyroid & cardiovascular preps, psychotropic) medication in oral, rectal or injection form (i.e. administers intramuscular & subcutaneous injections & TB skin tests), provides medicati...
