Masters (NQF level 9) qualification in Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent.

Additionally, an NQF level 7, or 8 qualification (Advanced Diploma, Bachelors Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Bachelor Honours Degree) in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

Advanced proficiency is required in at least one of the statistics software or languages used in the Department, namely, R or SAS

At least two years’ relevant full-time working experience, of which at least one year must be in a lecturing role at a higher education institution

Recommended:

Industry experience in Statistics or Data Science would be advantageous

Experience teaching or working in an Engineering context would be advantageous
