The Early Years Assessment Unit Manager/Leader provides strategic and operational leadership of the Early Years Assessment & Observation service to secure high-quality, person-centred Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision that complies with legislation and the ALN Code across settings and schools in Anglesey.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, maintenance and review of Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
• Coordinate moderation panels and forums
• Ensure effective multi‑agency collaboration and smooth transitions into school
• Manage the Early Years Assessment (EYA) team and centres, modelling and assuring effective practice
• Lead professional development, advice and early‑intervention support for practitioners, providers and families
• Drive quality assurance through monitoring impact, outcomes and value for money, leading data and reporting, and embedding consistent standards
