Summary The Lead MST works in support of the SPS management team. The GS-08 Lead MST functions as a member of the Sterile Processing Services team in the reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices (RMD). Each MST must be familiar with all the duties performed in SPS as well as standard operating procedures and manufacturers guidelines. The Lead MST is the subject matter expert and must have experience with highly complex processes to determine the effectiveness of the staff.
