Job Title: Lead Engineer
Job Location: Chennai 
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create and optimize plastic laser welding procedures for automotive ECUs, sensors, actuators, connections, and housings.
Define, test, and industrialize processes during New Product Introduction.
Set welding settings such laser power, speed, focus, clamping force, and material compatibility.
Seal, functional, and cosmetic-critical components need strong welds.
Perform process validation and documentation (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP).
Fix production difficulties such weld strength, leakage, cosmetic faults, warpage, and particulate contamination.
DFM and DFA compliance requires collaboration with design, tooling, automation, quality, and suppliers.
Help integrate automation, inline inspection (vision, leak testing), and cycle time optimization.
Ensure IATF 16949, ISO 9001 compliance.
