Requirements

• Minimum grade 10. 1‑2 years of laundry/cleaning experience an advantage. Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Good communication skills, can work shifts, especially night shift. Ability to rotate areas in laundry. Honest, reliable and physically fit to cope with demands. Can work as a team and independently. Preference for EPWP trainees, COVID‑19 participants and administrative interns who served and are still serving the Department according to Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017.

Duties

• Clean laundry area and laundry machines; operate washing, dryer, ironing and pressers.
• Iron, fold, count, pack laundered items and seal linen bags.
• Collect and deliver linen to clients (except Edenvale Hospital).
• Sort, count and record dirty linen.
• Load and offload linen.
