Introduction to the vacant position

The Nanoprobes and Nanoswitches Group is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join an international and dynamic lab under the supervision of Silvia Pittolo. The contract will be within the framework of a Neuroscience research project using fiber photometry in freely-moving mice aimed at studying how antidepressant treatment alters brain neuromodulatory signals.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform includes animal surgery for AAV delivery
• Conduct fiber photometry recordings and behavior in freely-moving mice
• Simultaneous recordings of brain signaling molecules via fluorescent biosensors
• Histological analysis of brain tissue
• Data analysis and interpretation
