About the role

Working closely with our Cooks, Kitchen Assistants are responsible for assisting with food and beverage preparation and service, cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas, and ensuring the kitchen follows all safe handling practices and aged care quality standards.

Your day to day will look like:

Providing friendly service and engaging with residents.

Taking meals to residents and clearing tables.

Supporting the Cook in basic food preparation tasks (e.g. chopping, portioning, plating meals).

Washing dishes, cookware and equipment following proper sanitisation procedures.

Assisting with grocery deliveries promptly to ensure food temperatures are maintained at a safe level.

Preparing thickened fluids in line with IDDSI guidelines.
