About the role

This role contributes to the Flexible Learning Access Project , supporting ākonga with complex health needs who attend learning programmes on variable days and times.

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Kaiako to join our Westcoast Team. This fixed-term part-time (0.5 FTTE) position supports ākonga in Years 1–13 whose health needs prevent them from attending their regular school. Start date to be negotiated, prefer ASAP until 8 December 2026.

You will deliver personalised, flexible learning programmes across a range of settings including homes, community spaces, and health facilities. This is a highly rewarding role where education, wellbeing, and transition back to school are central to success.
