Junior Shipping Controller job vacancy in Cape Town.

A well-established Manufacturing Engineering company is looking for a Junior Shipping Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town.

Position Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
• BCom Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain or similar (Not Compulsory)
• Experience in a similar position
• Any admin, supply chain or logistics certificates (beneficial)
• Experience in Manufacturing environment (beneficial)
• Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans

Position Responsibilities:

• Planning Shipment and Distribution
  • Send shipping documentation (as per courier) to the client or the client’s bank
  • Responsible for the control of local loading schedule
  • Negotiating rates with transporting and courier companies
