Job Summary: The Jay Van Andel Senior Policy Analyst in Trade Policy is responsible for examining and communicating the impact of trade levels, tariffs, and trade agreements on American well-being—with a particular sensitivity to U.S. exposure to threats from foreign adversaries, especially the People’s Republic of China. This position requires a thorough familiarity with Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) (50 U.S.C. § 1701–1708) among other relevant trade laws.
