Job Summary

The IT Specialist VI - Special Project Engineer is the primary position responsible for specialized technology equipment/systems within the division. Primary responsibilities include the successful management of video distribution systems, student testing programs, and serving as backup to the division telecom engineer position. Systems responsibility may include hardware, software, database, and operating systems. The position may be required to coordinate with vendors, obtain prices for specialized equipment, and coordinate with telecommunications providers to trouble-shoot/order services. The incumbent acts as a senior-level resource and may be required to provide support to building-based technicians including the physical installation and configuration of computer equipment.
