Job Description:

Manulife is looking to hire an entry level Paralegal/Legal assistant to provide legal support for its North American Private Markets Legal Team. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of corporate and/or financial or investment law and governance based on relevant prior work experience. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic professional to primarily provide legal research support for corporate governance and compliance matters relating to the management of investment entities in the United States, Canada and in some international jurisdictions and to generally provide support to the Private Markets Legal Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete private equity fund subscription documents, private debt and investment transactions, and supporting materials including investor questionnaires and KYC (“know-your-client”) documentation.
