The Company was founded in 1977 as a spin-out from Oxford University and still retains its unique skills in laser technology and applications. The Company operates two divisions; Micromachining and Imaging. Micromachining systems use lasers to create highly precise microscopic holes, cuts or texturing in a wide range of materials. Imaging systems use lasers to produce very short, intense pulses of light to illuminate high-speed imaging processes and analyse fast-moving particles in industrial applications.
