About the Role

Based at Tauranga Hospital. Fixed Term until November 2026, 1 FTE. The role works within the Department of Medicine providing acute internal medicine inpatient and sub‑specialist Infectious Disease outpatient services. Tauranga Hospital is a 359‑bed hospital that offers acute general medical service with support from resident specialists in Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Haematology and Renal services.

The position participates in planned care delivery in Infectious Diseases at both Tauranga Hospital and Whakatane Hospital, a smaller level 2 hospital south of Tauranga. Future planning will also provide opportunities to take care closer to patients with satellite clinics across the district.
