Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with unique learning needs in a mainstream classroom setting.
  • Ensure that the assigned student accesses the curriculum and engages with peers.
  • Adapt lesson materials and develop strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Monitor students’ progress, performance, and physical health.
  • Build strong relationships with the student and equip them with skills for effective communication, self-regulation, and meta-cognition.
  • Work together with mainstream teachers to share insights, adapt lesson plans, and ensure the student’s success.
  • Support classroom management and administrative tasks when required.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates, gather insights, and ensure a holistic approach to learning.
