Import Manager

JAS is an international supply chain services company. The Import Manager oversees the air and ocean import processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations. The position is responsible for completing all documents and transactions accurately and promptly, serving as a liaison between the Branch Manager, Corporate Office, and branch employees to streamline end‑to‑end processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain workflow within the department.
• Manage reports provided by the branch manager or corporate office (e.g., accounting, PODs, KPIs).
• File FMCs to Air and/or Ocean teams and verify rate validity.
• Assist sales with rates and transportation options.
• Meet with truck vendors, NVOCC representatives, and shipping lines to resolve issues or discuss future business.
• Instruct overseas agents on shipping procedures for customers.
