Job Summary

As student enrolled in an accredited Radiology Program, the Radiology Tech Extern will assist members of the Imaging team in providing imaging services to patients. The Extern will work under the direct supervision of a Manager, Supervisor or qualified staff member at all times.


Core Job Responsibilities

Orientation

+ Learn and follow department specific policies and procedures.

+ Learns and applies licensing requirements specific to radiation producing devices.

+ Understand, acknowledge and abide by HIPAA law.

Departmental Operations

+ Review EMR to ensure imaging order prior to patient arrival.

+ Using established patient identifiers, greet patient upon arrival to department and transport them to imaging room as directed by lead tech.
