The Radiology Assistant plays a key role in providing support for the technologists, ensuring patients have received the proper exam prep, are transported to and from Radiology in comfort with proper medical support, and are observed while on the exam table. This position will assist the technologists with data entry using various computer
systems as well as help with maintaining equipment. Incumbent will answer phone lines in respective work area and patient care area. The Radiology Assistant will facilitate patient transport services and provide other support as needed. The incumbent works independently, and work is referred to the supervisor when standard procedures or processes do not apply. The individual must perform calmly in stressful situations and interact with radiologists, clinicians, technologists and peers in a cooperative, harmonious manner for maximum effectiveness.
