The University of Alabama Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for a tenure track or non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery. The successful candidate will be expected to meet clinical, research and teaching needs, as applicable, in the Department of Surgery. The Division provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary program of care for severely injured multisystem trauma and burn victims, as well as those requiring emergency surgical procedures and surgical critical care. UAB Hospital is the only Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons in the state of Alabama, and is a major treatment center in the southeastern U.S. for patients suffering traumatic injury.
