Harvest Laboratory Internship

Position Purpose: Under general supervision, the Lab Technician is responsible for performing analysis to support wine quality. Following standard operating procedures, this position utilizes wet-bench chemistry, analytical instrumentation and performs data entry.

Functional Responsibility Essential Duties:

• Performs chemical analysis of grapes, juice, fermenters, and wine following standard operating procedures and protocols
• Operates laboratory instruments such as auto titrators, infrared analyzers, turbidimeter, density meter, Atomic Emission Spectroscopy, and other technical instruments
• Performs data entry using various types of applications
• Maintains data integrity and impartiality
• Samples and analyzes wine/juice in barrels
• Completes daily lab start-up and shut down following standard procedures and protocols
