:Summary:The Teaching Assistant (TA) supports the instructional mission of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics by assisting faculty in the delivery of undergraduate or graduate courses. TAs play a vital role in fostering student learning and engagement through instructional support, grading, tutoring, office hours, in-class assistance, material preparation, and other tasks, depending on the particular course needs.Essential Functions:Assist in preparing and delivering instructional materials as directed by the course instructor.
Lead discussions, tutorials, and review sessions, assist during practical work or lab sessions, etc., as assigned.
Hold regular office hours to provide students with additional help and clarification on course material.
Assist in grading of assignments, quizzes, exams, and other coursework in a fair and timely manner.
