Christchurch South Community Gardens Trust (managed by Volunteering Canterbury)

We are an independent charitable trust operating in the Christchurch South area since 1999. Our goal is to contribute to neighbourhood sustainability in a meaningful way and to share our skills and resources with local communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Help out at market days and other fundraising activities.
• Volunteer on the ground as able, e.g. in the garden, pickling and preserving, building, and repairs & maintenance.
• Attend and participate in a minimum of eight Board of Trustee general & planning meetings a year.
• Participate in seasonal market days, crop production, community workshops, and the local sustainability group.

What we need from you

• Ability to understand the financial and general operations of a not for profit organisation and to take responsibility for one's own learning about our Trust....
