POSITION SUMMARY
RIZZO International, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to join our Tarrytown, NY office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of geotechnical projects with a focus on dam safety, foundation engineering, and geotechnical analysis. This role will involve participation in all phases of our projects — from planning and feasibility studies to conceptual and final design — with opportunities for both field and office work. A Master’s or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering may be considered in lieu of some experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES


+ Perform geotechnical calculations and analyses for embankment dam seepage and slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and tieback anchors.

+ Perform stability analyses for water retaining structures (i.e., dams, levees, and cofferdams).
