This role is for the Technical Services team at the Macraes mine, the largest gold mine in New Zealand, located in the stunning region of Otago. You will work under an 8/6 roster (days only) and manage the stability of the underground working environment through systematic data collection, geotechnical analysis, planning and underground inspections in line with the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP). You will be responsible for mitigating risk to personnel and equipment while supporting production targets.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Undertake daily inspections of the underground environment, including active headings, stopes and blast performance, installed ground support, reported hazards, new structural features and priority monitoring areas.
• Photograph and maintain a record of all stope brows and other geotechnically relevant items of interest.
