Description

To provide engineering support to the Generation section on a wide range of operational functions and the supervision of generating plant and buildings undertaking designated planned and unplanned maintenance on the buildings, plant and equipment. The Generation Technician is part of the operations team and must be able to provide shift cover when required and will also work with the facilities team as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and operate the generating plant to ensure security of supplies.
2. Prepare generators for operation, monitoring of generators when online and undertake shutdown procedures to safeguard the plant and ensure availability.
