Description Neurology Physician Assistant for day and/or night coverage working under Neurology attending physicians, PGY3 Neurology residents, and Stroke fellows. Emphasis on care of acute Stroke inpatients at Elmhurst Hospital, a key teaching affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Joint Commission certified Stroke Center/Thrombectomy Capable Center.
Responsibilities Participate under the supervision of the Stroke Attending, Chief Resident or Cerebrovascular Fellow in the acute management of stroke, sharing responsibilities with rotating interns covering the Neurology Stroke Service. The settings are primarily the ED, Stroke Unit, Step-down floor, with additional consult cases in Intensive Care Units.
