About the organisation

WasteNet Southland is a shared solid waste service for the Gore District Council, Invercargill City Council and Southland District Council. Their mission is to provide the co-ordinated delivery of solid waste services within Southland in line with their sustainability goals. Their focus is on working towards zero waste through effective education, waste prevention, minimisation and resource stewardship.

The WasteNet Governance Group has created a new opportunity for a General Manager – Waste Management and Minimisation to lead and co-ordinate waste management and minimization services for the Southland region. This is pivotal role and one that will provide insights from the wider industry, creating solution-focused programmes for their future operation.
