Job description

We are currently recruiting a Modern Apprentice for a Newton Mearns nursery. You will undertake an apprenticeship in childcare where you can work and train in the nursery setting to become a qualified childcare practitioner.

The qualification is funded by SDS for individuals aged 16-24 years old.

The role will involve:

full time position in a nursery setting where you will learn and train how to deliver effective care and learning

full training programme learning from the nursery

working as part of a team

developing care and pedagogical skills to support each individual child's care and learning needs

designing and delivering learning experiences to develop each child

supporting the workings of a nursery

developing knowledge of theory and child development

understanding the theory and practice around Getting It Right For Every Child
