Summary This position has been established to perform a variety of tasks involving short order cooking, janitorial, bussing and other related duties for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department at NAS Key West. Responsibilities Short Order Cooking: Prepares grilled sandwich items such as cheeseburgers, grilled ham and cheese. Uses fryer for such items as French fries and fried chicken sandwiches. Cuts meats and prepares sandwiches such as a ham and turkey club. Prepares chef salads, sets up salad bar. Prepares coffee and tea for serving. Stocks and readies grill area for preparing of food. May be required to help prepare full course meals on special occasions; serves food cafeteria-style to diners and/or carries pre-ordered food to tables. Janitorial: Vacuums carpets, cleans furniture, washes floors. Performs a full range of cleaning tasks in the building including washing walls, baseboards, windows and ledges, cleaning appliances, counters, vents, mirrors, commodes and urin...
