You will fall within the Tax and Financial Accounting department at Munich Re Africa Branch (MRAB). It is responsible for accurately recording financial transactions of the company in the General Ledger. MRAB performs this recording in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. This facilitates accurate internal and external reporting of the entity’s financial performance and overall financial position.

The Financial Accountant role is an originator of accounting information and ensures that financial information required for internal and external reporting is available, complete and accurate. The role includes collecting, analysing, investigating, maintaining data, and preparing detailed reconciliations. You will report to the Team Leader, who in turn reports to an Operational Manager.
