The Field Technician supports the POS terminal rental business by attending onsite service requests, installing and replacing terminals, performing basic troubleshooting, and assisting merchants. This is a junior role suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with basic technical skills and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities POS Terminal Installation & Support - Install, replace, swap or collect POS terminals at merchant locations.
- Perform basic setup, including power connection, SIM card checking, network connection, printer roll installation and device testing.
- Guide merchants on basic terminal usage.
- Collect service acknowledgements and installation records.
Basic Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot common terminal issues such as power, battery, charging, SIM card, network, printer, login and error messages.
- Determine if issues can be resolved onsite or require escalation.
