Fall 2026 Legal Intern, Criminal Law Reform Project Remote/Hybrid – New York City or Washington DC About the Role The ACLU seeks a Legal Intern for the Criminal Law Reform Project in the ACLU's National office in New York City or Washington, D.C. This is a part‐time position that may be remote or hybrid and is offered for course credit only. Qualifications: Applicants must be current matriculated legal students, based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship. The Team The Criminal Law Reform Project advocates for constitutional and civil rights of individuals impacted by the criminal legal system. The team focuses on litigation and advocacy to confront systemic issues such as police violence, pretrial liberty, post‐release supervision, and public defense systems.
