The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for performing routine preventative, restorative and corrective cleaning of the facility. Follows policies and procedures to ensure standards of cleaning/sanitizing are being met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
+ Performs daily cleaning and sanitizing using the “Seven Step Cleaning Process,” including removing general and regulated medical waste or project work in each assigned area.
+ Communicate daily with patients, nursing staff, physicians, and immediate supervisors regarding room discharge and miscellaneous cleaning. Communicate with supervisors to attend to specific projects for each unit.
+ Maintains cleaning cart(s), supplies, and equipment by properly stocking and restocking the environmental services cart neatly and orderly.
+ Responsible for using basic housekeeping equipment, i.e., mop pails, mops, dust mops, wiping cloths, standard upright vacuums...
