Energy Consultant (Electrical)

Arup seeks an Energy Consultant (Electrical) to join our team in Manchester or Sheffield. The role focuses on developing electrical infrastructure and power systems solutions, with an emphasis on HV grid connections, network integration, and the electrification of energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in developing strategies, solutions, and integrated schemes for public and private sector clients.
• Undertake technical analysis and modelling of electrical systems to support feasibility studies and early‑stage design of electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare technical outputs including reports, calculations, and, where appropriate, electrical schematics or system layouts.
• Assist in the delivery of decarbonisation and energy studies, focusing on electrification strategies and power system impacts at estate, city, and regional scales.
