Emergency Department Urgent Care Specialists – Fixed term – 6 months - various FTE opportunities

Come work in a brisk, busy and expanding ED at Gisborne Hospital.

Our rising census includes an increased proportion of urgent care and lower acuity patients and we are looking for some assistance. 

Doctors who are comfortable with rapid decision making, minor procedures and who enjoy a cheerful, rapid paced environment are encouraged to apply. Doctors from a general practice, urgent care or rural medicine background are all welcome. Successful applicants will find great pleasure in working with the patient population, the residents of Gisborne and its surrounds. 

The main Emergency Department will be staffed by EM consultants at all times. High acuity emergencies such as cardiac, neurologic or Trauma presentations and all those who need complicated decision making are seen in the main ED. Full laboratory and X-ray ...
