Responsibilities As an Electronics Engineer (Industrial Controls) you will be responsible for the following duties (If selected at the GS-07/09/11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity): Provides engineering support and assistance to the journeyman engineers on specific limited portions of an overall project. Research information, makes suggestions, and develops an assigned portion of a project. Makes telephone calls to personnel to obtain information, to discuss problems, obtain concurrence, and may initiate correspondence requesting additional information or back-up material about the equipment usage. Reviews part data such as drawings, schematics, etc., to detect usage trends of new parts selected for equipment design; Makes recommendations from information obtained, for initiation of proposed standardization projects.
