Performs work in all areas of plant as required to install and maintain electrical machinery, instrumentation, and controls in the facility.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performs highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical machinery, instrumentation, and controls throughout the plant. Exercises proficiency in a variety of skill areas; for example: Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, conduit, wire, etc. Repair of electrical tools and equipment, including power tools, test equipment, etc. Troubleshooting of AC (alternating current), DC (direct current) and variable frequency drives, instruments, and control systems. PM (preventative maintenance) DC motors and other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).
