About the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Elections Officer to join our team. This role places you at the heart of the council, supporting our residents and ensuring community participation in the democratic process. You will support the Elections Manager in the provision and maintenance of an accurate, up-to-date electoral register in an efficient and effective manner and assist in the organisation and management of all types of elections, parish polls and referenda in accordance with the relevant legislation. In addition you will take responsibility for the recruitment of staffing for elections and the annual canvass.
